Complete Configuration
After successfully entering all tariff and meter parameters, your gasleser.pulse is basically configured. This section guides you through the final steps and initial checks.
Review Configuration
Parameter Summary
Review all entered values before completion:
Tariff Parameters:
- State Number: Correct value from gas bill
- Calorific Value: Energy content of gas in kWh/m³
- Price per kWh: Current gas price in Euro
Meter Parameters:
- Gas Meter Reading: Current reading from gas meter
- Pulse Value: Cubic meters per pulse (usually 0.01 m³)
Final Check
- Values plausible? Check for realistic values
- Units correct? Verify units of measurement
- Up-to-date: Use latest available data
Save Configuration
Save Process
- Confirm settings: Click "Save" or "Complete Configuration"
- Wait for confirmation: System validates entered parameters
- Success message: Wait for confirmation of successful configuration
The save process may take several seconds. Do not interrupt the process prematurely.
Initial Commissioning
Automatic Detection
After successful configuration:
- Sensor activation: The gasleser.pulse begins counting the impulse disc
- Meter reading sync: Alignment with entered starting value
- Measurement readiness: Device is ready for consumption measurement
Status Indicators
Check the LED display:
- Off: Normal operation, measurement running
- Blue single pulse: A gas pulse has been registered
- Red slow blink: No Wi-Fi connection
See LED Indicators for the full overview.
Function Test
Test First Consumption
- Use gas: Turn on a gas appliance (heating, stove)
- Wait: Give the system 2-3 minutes
- Check status: Watch for the blue pulse on the device and the values in the app
Verify Measurement Accuracy
- Short-term consumption: Compare with known consumption
- App display: Check values in the stromleser app
- Observe trend: Initial measurements may still be inaccurate
App Integration
First Connection
- Open app: Start the stromleser app
- Search device: Automatic detection of the configured gasleser.pulse
- Sync data: Wait for first data transfer
Set Up Dashboard
- Consumption display: Current values and trends
- Cost overview: Based on entered tariff parameters
- History charts: Development over time
Maintenance and Updates
Regular Checks
- Monthly control: Compare with gas bill
- Parameter updates: When tariffs or bills change
- Meter reading alignment: Occasional accuracy check
When to Update Parameters?
- New gas tariff: Adjust price per kWh
- Seasonal changes: State number may change
- Meter replacement: Complete new configuration required
Common Problems After Configuration
No Readings
Possible Causes:
- The gasleser.pulse is not positioned exactly above the impulse disc
- Impulse-disc rotations are not detected
- Sensor initialization still running
Solutions:
- Check the device position (see Installation)
- Allow 24 hours break-in time
- Contact support if problems persist
Implausible Values
Possible Causes:
- Wrong pulse value entered
- Meter reading not read correctly
- Tariff parameters incorrect
Solutions:
- Re-check parameters
- Repeat configuration
- Cross-reference with current gas bill
App Connection Failed
Possible Causes:
- WiFi connection interrupted
- Device not fully configured yet
- App version outdated
Solutions:
- Check WiFi connection
- Restart app
- Restart device (disconnect from power, reconnect)
Give your gasleser.pulse 24-48 hours break-in time. Initial measurements may still be inaccurate while the system adapts to your specific gas meter.
