Installation & setup​

How do I mount the wärmeleser on the heat meter?​

Stick the supplied metal disc centrally onto the optical interface of your heat meter. Place the wärmeleser on the metal disc – it will hold in place automatically thanks to the built-in magnet. Then connect the USB-C cable and power adapter.

Can I mount the WiFi module separately?​

Yes. If there is insufficient space or poor reception, you can detach the WiFi module from the reading head and mount it in a suitable nearby location using the supplied 3M adhesive strip.

How do I connect the wärmeleser to the app?​

Download the "energieleser - Energy at a Glance" app, tap the "wärmeleser" tile, enable Bluetooth, and select the wärmeleser from the device list. Then enter your WiFi network and password.

How do I reset the wärmeleser?​

Press and hold the reset button (see Fig. 1 in Installation) for 7 seconds. Use the supplied metal pin. If the LED flashes blue rapidly, the reset was successful.

Technical questions​

Which WiFi frequency is supported?​

The wärmeleser uses 2.4 GHz WiFi. Make sure your router provides a 2.4 GHz network.

Maintenance & support​

How do I perform a software update?​

Start the update in the app under Device → Maintenance → Firmware update. During the entire process, the wärmeleser must not be disconnected from the power supply.
