Plate Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the mounting plate and reading head helps keep measurements accurate. Product parts should only be cleaned with a dry cloth; do not use solvents.
When to clean?
Cleaning should be done:
- When there is visible dirt
- When readings become inaccurate
- Every 3–6 months
- After changes to the environment (e.g. renovation)
Cleaning process
Preparation
- Disconnect the device from power (only if safe to do so)
- Make sure the heat meter is not damaged
- Get your cleaning materials ready
Cleaning the mounting plate
- Use a soft, damp cloth
- Wipe the surface gently
- Avoid strong cleaning agents
- Dry the plate thoroughly
Cleaning the reading head
- Use a soft cloth or brush
- Clean the reading head gently
- Make sure no residue is left
- Check the position after cleaning
