Plate Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the mounting plate and reading head helps keep measurements accurate. Product parts should only be cleaned with a dry cloth; do not use solvents.

When to clean?

Cleaning should be done:

  • When there is visible dirt
  • When readings become inaccurate
  • Every 3–6 months
  • After changes to the environment (e.g. renovation)

Cleaning process

Preparation

  1. Disconnect the device from power (only if safe to do so)
  2. Make sure the heat meter is not damaged
  3. Get your cleaning materials ready

Cleaning the mounting plate

  1. Use a soft, damp cloth
  2. Wipe the surface gently
  3. Avoid strong cleaning agents
  4. Dry the plate thoroughly

Cleaning the reading head

  1. Use a soft cloth or brush
  2. Clean the reading head gently
  3. Make sure no residue is left
  4. Check the position after cleaning

Avoid strong cleaning agents or solvents that could damage the device.

After cleaning

After cleaning you should:

  • Check the position of the reading head
  • Check the readings
  • Make sure everything works correctly
