Reading Water Data
The stromleser app provides real-time and historical water consumption data from your wasserleser.
Accessing Water Data
- Open the stromleser app
- Select your wasserleser device from the device list
- View your current water consumption on the main screen
Real-time Consumption
Your wasserleser continuously monitors water flow and displays:
- Current flow rate - Water usage at this moment
- Today's consumption - Total water used today
- Current meter reading - The current reading from your water meter
Consumption History
The app displays your water consumption graphically, allowing you to track usage patterns over time.
Viewing Historical Data
- Tap on the consumption chart
- Select your preferred time range:
- Daily: Hour-by-hour consumption
- Weekly: Day-by-day comparison
- Monthly: Weekly totals
- Yearly: Month-by-month overview
Understanding Your Data
Consumption Metrics
The app provides several useful metrics:
- Total consumption: Cumulative water usage since initial reading
- Average daily usage: Typical consumption per day
- Peak usage times: When you use the most water
- Comparison data: Compare current period to previous periods
Cost Tracking
If you've configured water tariffs, the app also shows:
- Estimated costs for the current period
- Cost trends over time
- Projected monthly/yearly costs

Device Settings
You can adjust various settings at any time:
- Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right corner
- Access settings for:
- Device name: Change the display name
- Initial reading: Adjust the starting meter value
- Water parameters: Configure meter-specific settings
- Tariff setup: Update water pricing
- Timer function: Set consumption alerts
- Leak detection: Configure leak alerts
Notifications
The app can send notifications for:
- Unusual consumption patterns
- Timer threshold exceeded (see Leak Detection)
- Detected water leaks
- Device connectivity issues
Data Accuracy
For accurate consumption tracking:
- Ensure the initial reading was set correctly
- Verify the wasserleser sensor is properly positioned
- Check that the device maintains WiFi connection
- Regularly compare app readings with your physical meter
Exporting Data
You can export your consumption data for:
- Personal record-keeping
- Sharing with utilities
- Analysis in spreadsheet software
