Technical Specifications
The energieleser.node was developed to capture meter data via connected sensors. Up to four sensors can be connected to the four ports. The Node transmits the captured readings by radio to the energieleser.bridge or an external receiver module. The Bridge processes them and makes them available in the Energieleser app or in Home Assistant.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Meter connections | 4 ports (stromleser.ttl and wärmeleser on Ports 1 + 2 only; all other sensors on any port, recommendation Ports 3 + 4 for long battery life) |
| Supported meter types | Electricity, Gas, Water, Heat (any combination across the 4 ports) |
| Water meter sensing | Sensor on any port; the Node automatically detects the connected sensor, with no configuration required |
| Wireless standard | 868 MHz sub-GHz radio. Before pairing: standard wM-Bus (OMS, AES-128 encrypted). After pairing with the Bridge: a proprietary telemetry protocol on 869.6 MHz |
| Requires | A receiver module: the energieleser.bridge (collects readings and forwards them to the app) or an external receiver module |
| Power source | 2 × AA batteries, or 1 long-lasting battery + battery dummy; USB-C also supported; reading interval: 15 minutes on battery, on USB-C power values every 5–10 seconds and meter readings every minute |
| Typical battery life | 5+ years on battery power (see Battery Replacement) |
| User controls | 1 button, 4 status LEDs |
| Operating environment | Indoor, dry locations, −5 °C to 55 °C |
| Suitable for | Private, light-commercial, and larger-scale commercial installations |
