Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an energieleser.bridge to use my Node?

You need a receiver module: the energieleser.bridge or an external receiver module. The Bridge receives the Node's readings and forwards them to the Energieleser app; it makes the setup easiest. See Pairing the Node.

Can I monitor more than one meter type at the same time?

Yes — each of the 4 ports can be assigned its own sensor independently. See Assigning More Sensors.

Which port can I connect my sensor to?

You can connect the stromleser.ttl and the wärmeleser to Ports 1 + 2 only. All other sensors work on any port — we recommend Ports 3 + 4, because the battery lasts longest that way. See Connecting Sensors to the Node.

Which battery option should I choose?

Either 2 standard AA batteries, or 1 long-lasting battery with a battery dummy — both are fully supported. USB-C power is also available. See Power Supply.

How long do the batteries really last?

On battery power the Node takes a reading every 15 minutes – the batteries then typically last more than 5 years. See Battery Replacement.

What does it mean if all four LEDs are chasing in a loop?

This is "update mode," which is only expected during a firmware update. See LED Indicators and Troubleshooting.
